Sandra Muss at Belmond Villa San Michele Florence

Sandra Muss’ “Portals, dream of flight”in the location of Leonardo\’s flying experiments. A suggestive site-specific installation for the Belmond hotel Villa San Michele in Fiesole on the slopes of Monte Ceceri, cited in the Codex on the Flight of Birds by Leonardo da Vinci (throughout 2019 we celebrate five hundred years since the death of Leonardo da Vinci). The columns or “portals” are located between the splendid façade of Villa San Michele, attributed to Michelangelo, and the panorama of Florence that can be enjoyed from Fiesole. Another work, \”Winged\” by Sandra Muss, adorn some of the doors of the Villa interior, that was built as a convent in the fifteenth century for Niccolò Davanzati.
